Product capability

Grade 2 titanium fasteners for seawater service

MetalPartSource supports industrial buyers with specification-led sourcing for titanium bolts, nuts, washers, studs and drawing-based fasteners. Grade 2 is our current commercial focus for seawater equipment. The project specification and qualified engineering review determine material suitability.

Supply boundary

Civil-use sourcing scope

Our sourcing scope is civil-use external fixings and approved drawing-based small parts. Process-wetted pump and valve components, heat-exchanger tubes or plates, and reactor or agitator internals are outside our advertised supply scope. The actual part, destination, end user and end use must be reviewed before order acceptance; an external fastener is not automatically exempt from export controls.

Read our civil-use and export scope before preparing an enquiry.

Scope / 01

Titanium fastener RFQ checklist

A useful quotation depends on a complete fastening specification. Share the information your engineering and procurement teams already control, and we will identify open points before a supply route is proposed.

Material grade

Grade 2 is our primary sourcing focus. Grade 5 remains a secondary option for enquiries that specify it, subject to a verified supply route. Confirm the required grade and condition from the controlled drawing or project specification; no grade is assumed suitable for all seawater service.

Fastener geometry

Bolts, screws, nuts, washers, studs, threaded rods and non-standard hardware can be reviewed against a drawing or recognized dimensional standard.

Threads and tolerances

State metric or inch thread, pitch, class, fit, head style, length, holes, locking features and any critical tolerance.

Surface and assembly

Surface condition, cleaning, marking and anti-galling requirements should be agreed before quotation and production.

Quantity and schedule

Prototype, small-batch and repeat requirements are assessed case-by-case against tooling, inspection and delivery needs.

Documents and release

MTC / EN 10204 3.1 may be requested where applicable. Heat or lot traceability and inspection records are aligned to the agreed scope.

Working note

What to send for a first review

Send a drawing or standard, titanium grade, quantity, required date, destination, inspection points and documentation list. For seawater duty, include media, temperature, mating materials and maintenance context where available. Drawing references can be submitted online; reply to the acknowledgement email with files.

Buying questions

Before you source seawater fasteners

Use these answers to define a purchasing enquiry for titanium fasteners. Availability, documentation and commercial terms are confirmed for the individual RFQ.

Which titanium fasteners can MetalPartSource review for seawater equipment?

MetalPartSource coordinates sourcing for Grade 2 titanium bolts, nuts, washers and studs, plus drawing-based fasteners. Grade 5 is reviewed when specified. We are a supply partner working through the Baoji titanium supply chain; the proposed supplier route and its scope are confirmed before commitment.

Is Grade 2 automatically suitable for every seawater joint?

No. Grade 2 is our commercial sourcing focus, not an automatic material approval. The project engineering team must consider the specified loads, media, temperature, mating materials and joint design. See the Grade 2 versus Grade 5 buyer guide for RFQ preparation.

Can I send a non-standard titanium fastener drawing?

Yes. Start with the drawing number and revision, specified grade, dimensions, thread and fit, critical tolerances, quantity and required date. The RFQ form accepts requirement details but no file uploads. Agree any required NDA before sending confidential files. Reply to the acknowledgement email with the current drawing or email harry@metalpartsource.com directly.

Are stock, minimum order quantities and lead times fixed?

MetalPartSource does not publish a blanket stock, MOQ or lead-time promise. Quantity, manufacturing route, tooling, inspection and required documents are reviewed for each enquiry. Any availability, minimum quantity and delivery proposal must be stated in the quotation for that requirement.

For a complete enquiry, use the titanium fastener RFQ checklist and specify the release documents you need.
