Build-to-print capability

Custom titanium components built around your drawing

MetalPartSource coordinates build-to-print titanium small parts through the Baoji titanium supply chain. We begin with the controlled drawing, service environment and acceptance criteria, then review a relevant manufacturing route before quotation.

Supply boundary

Civil-use sourcing scope

Our sourcing scope is civil-use external fixings and approved drawing-based small parts. Process-wetted pump and valve components, heat-exchanger tubes or plates, and reactor or agitator internals are outside our advertised supply scope. The actual part, destination, end user and end use must be reviewed before order acceptance; an external fastener is not automatically exempt from export controls.

Read our civil-use and export scope before preparing an enquiry.

Scope / 01

From drawing to documented quotation

Custom work is controlled by the details that make a part usable: material, geometry, tolerance, surface condition, inspection and release documentation. The quotation process should expose uncertainties rather than hide them.

Drawing review

Send a controlled PDF or DWG drawing with its revision, dimensions and acceptance criteria. A STEP model can clarify geometry; identify which drawing governs tolerances and critical features.

Material definition

Confirm grade, product-form standard and any customer-specific material restrictions before committing to a source.

Machining scope

For turned parts, identify diameters, shoulders, threads and fits. For milled parts, include mating faces, hole patterns and critical datums. Machining feasibility is reviewed against the actual geometry and tolerance requirements.

Inspection plan

Identify critical dimensions, sampling, gauges, reports and hold points before production. Define the required material records and inspection evidence through our quality and traceability review.

Prototype to repeat

Initial samples and production quantities are discussed separately so the manufacturing and inspection approach remains appropriate.

Change control

Drawing revision and approved deviations should remain explicit throughout quotation, order review and release.

Working note

A practical first package

Send the current drawing revision, required titanium grade, lot or annual quantity, target date, destination and critical features. We will identify feasibility questions before presenting a sourcing route. Inspection scope and material documentation, including MTC / EN 10204 3.1 where applicable, are confirmed for the specific order.

The online RFQ form accepts your requirement and drawing reference, but does not accept file uploads. To send PDF, STEP or DWG files, reply to the acknowledgement email with your attachments, or email harry@metalpartsource.com directly. Include the RFQ reference when available. Review the confidentiality process before sending confidential files.

Before sending drawings

Agree confidentiality before disclosure

Start with a drawing reference and a non-confidential description. If your project needs an NDA, request it before sending confidential files. We review the proposed terms and confirm any agreed NDA before disclosure; sending an enquiry does not itself create a signed NDA.

Agree permitted use, supplier recipients and any retention or deletion requirements before sharing controlled copies for quotation or manufacture. Send only material you are authorized to disclose; do not send restricted technical data without the required authorization. Our privacy notice explains how enquiry details are handled.

Next step

Start with one drawing or BOM line.
