Website RFQ privacy notice
A clear description of the information collected by the RFQ desk, how it is used, and how to contact us about it.
The RFQ desk and your information
MetalPartSource is an early-stage, independently operated sourcing project. Harry is the contact for website enquiries and privacy requests: harry@metalpartsource.com. This notice describes the website enquiry service; it does not claim a registered company or a data-protection certification.
The form collects your name, company, country or region, business email, optional phone or WhatsApp number, product type, titanium grade, part or drawing reference, quantity, optional required date and project notes. Submission time, an RFQ reference, delivery-status records and technical identifiers are also recorded. The service uses a salted network fingerprint for abuse prevention. The form does not accept drawing uploads.
Use a business contact and include only information needed for the purchasing enquiry. Avoid personal identity documents, unrelated personal details or sensitive personal data in the notes. Fields marked with an asterisk are required to process the online form.
Why we use the information
We use enquiry details to confirm receipt, review the requirement, contact you, coordinate the relevant sourcing and inspection questions, and prevent duplicate or abusive submissions. Submission does not subscribe you to marketing.
The form asks for your consent to use the submitted details to review and reply to the RFQ. You can withdraw that consent by contacting Harry; this does not undo processing already carried out. Where applicable, limited records may also be needed for legitimate business interests in managing correspondence and security, or to meet legal obligations. We do not use the RFQ service to make solely automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.
Who handles the information
The RFQ desk receives your enquiry. Hosting and database services are provided through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare; notification and acknowledgement delivery uses Alibaba Cloud DirectMail. Your email service also receives messages sent to you. Necessary technical information may be shared with a proposed supplier or inspection provider to review an enquiry; agree confidentiality and permitted recipients before sending confidential drawings.
These service providers operate infrastructure that can process information outside your country, including in China depending on the email and supplier route. Ask Harry for the recipient locations and proposed arrangements before disclosing restricted personal or project information. Any additional safeguards required by applicable transfer rules must be established for the actual arrangement; this notice does not claim that a particular transfer mechanism or certification is already in place.
The page typography loads through Google Fonts. Those font requests send technical request information to Google, including the visitor's IP address and browser request headers. See the Google Fonts privacy information for that service.
We do not sell RFQ contact details. A disclosure required by applicable law or a competent authority may be necessary.
How long the records are kept
The website database removes RFQ records older than 365 days through its scheduled retention process. This applies to the website database record, including the enquiry details and technical identifiers stored with it.
Email correspondence, attachments, service-provider logs and any later quotation, order or statutory records are separate from that database cleanup. The cleanup does not automatically delete those copies. Their retention depends on the enquiry, any agreed confidentiality terms and applicable recordkeeping duties. Contact Harry to discuss deletion or a specific retention requirement.
Your choices and requests
Email Harry to ask what enquiry information is held, correct it, request access or deletion, withdraw consent, or raise a privacy concern. Where applicable law grants them, you may also request restriction, object to certain processing, or request portability. We will review requests against the relevant duties and may need reasonable identity verification.
You may complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your situation, including your local European supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner where applicable. You do not have to contact us first to exercise that right.
This site does not add advertising trackers or a newsletter subscription to the RFQ flow. Hosting and security providers may handle technical request data or service cookies. External technical references have their own privacy arrangements. We will update this notice when the enquiry service changes materially.
